The game is as “pure in its form” as the very World War I games you are using to fight in. The purpose is clear, keep your yellow plane running and damage your red enemy plane as much as possible. The plane you use seems to be a bit vulnerable during take off, as taking off immediately with up arrow first and then left arrow, I lost serious speed and the enemy gained advantage. The enemy plane will not bother shooting during its take off, so you are granted enough time to reach the skies before war ensues. The gauge gives you indication of where your plane stands: the higher the gauge, the higher the damage to your plane. Though the bombs are harder to land onto the enemy plane, they give such extensive damage in comparison to various single bullets that I found this to be the best way to damage the enemy quickly. However, dodging using such keys as up arrow and left arrow simultaneously cause your plane to do circles and can help avoid shots, though disadvantage is the plane becomes harder to maneuver. The easiest way to avoid shots is to tip your plane at an angle, using the arrow keys for direction and then simply redirecting it the way you want to go once the enemy ceases fire. One advantage you do have is waiting for supplies, which come with a green package and a parachute. Waiting until the package lands and aiming your plane so that it reaches the box without crashing will slightly decrease the damage viewed in your gauge. The game ends immediately after your plane either crashes or takes too much of a beating, but I noticed your enemy plane crashing does not end your game, but it does seem to add to your score. The key to winning this game is simple: keep it steady and don’t rush. Trying lots of tricks and rushed maneuvers seem to send your plane towards a very unlucky end. Taking your time will almost always guarantee what the purpose of all games are: victory.
